I was going through the memberlist today and I realized. It's FUGGING HUGE!!

100 plus pages and like maybe the first few have the contributing posters and members. The rest is god knows what.

So, I was thinking we should clean house. By this I mean send an e-mail, a PM, and make an announcement at the meetings that your account will be deleted if you don't respond to admin or a mod that you wish to stay active. Otherwise delete it. Give people like 2 weeks to respond.

Not to be a dick or anything but DAYUM! LOL, that's a lot of needless members that have never even posted!

Just a suggestion.

Most are just spambots, and they'll keep coming back. It would be nice to have an easily accessible member list though.

If have a good way to get rid of these if we find a good captcha to keep them from registering in the future.

What about one of the various spam prevention things for sign ups? Like the letters you have to read and whatnot.

Or has time passed by and they do not work as well anymore?

Justin would have to do some DB migrations to do that...

No. No DB migrations required. We already have a Captcha test, it's not great, but we have one.

Oh, my bad... I thought Justin said we would have to upgrade the software.

There are much better ones out there. The shitty thing is that every time you upgrade phpBB itself, you have to re-hack in the captcha.
