Hi, I'm Jordon Michaels and I am a junior/sophmore transfer student from Penn State Harrisburg, majoring in Food Science. Right now I only have a 2001 Volvo V70 2.4T station wagon (front wheel drive 5speed automatic). The only modification that has been done to it so far is the boost pressure has been set to the max roughly 10-12lbs depending on weather and such. I have taken it down an 1/8th mile drag strip and beaten tc's, civics, along with somehow most v6 mustangs and f-bodies. I do have to peddle it off the line or it just spins the tires. I used to have a modified 1988 buick reatta, it was turbo charged and would keep up with stock ls1 f-bodies. That car got totaled and I didn't have the money or the skill to fix it. I am planning to buy one of the new camaros and twin turboing it.

Welcome to the club! Don't worry, there are plenty of people here who don't have traditional performance cars :) Buick Reatta, eh? I always half wanted to L67 swap one of those puppies.

The camaro won't be coming until I graduate, so I will have time and money to spend on it. I have seen a few turbo setups on the forums at moderncamaro.com but they are all front mount turbos and I'm thinking about doing exhaust turbos with the automatic, which will end up being rebuilt to handle more power unless it's the exact transmission the newer cts-v uses.

I was primarily thinking the rear mount turbos because I want a stock looking engine bay, unless you know of ways to essentially hide turbos in the engine bay. Also I haven't really seen any place that has given the pros and cons of the front mounted vs. rear mounted.

Welcome to the club and stay away from a rear mount turbo unless there is 100% no room in the engine bay...

If you're going to the extent of turboing, performance > looks.
