So my spring break started off with quite a bang. Left school early so that I could get home and start wrenching on the car and get it ready. Got it inspected so it's driveable now, went to throw stock wheels back on because i'm doing a lot of driving now and dont want to waste tread on DR's. Got to my friends house and he drove my truck over with my wheels, he backed my truck up into driveway and brake pedal goes to floor and stays...... Brake line rusted through and now there is a freaken hole. Stupid truck got jealous of the car haha.

SO anyway I figured that's cool i can deal with it later I still have my trans am to drive for now. So went down to my friends house in culpepper to start putting my 9" and stuff in. Got the housing in, the center section, torque arm, DS and then go to put the axles in. They don't go in.... At this point we were ready to kill someone haha. Pulled off the torque arm and DS and pulled center section out. We were sent a 28 spline spool instead of a 31 spline spool :( Now my car is sittin at his house on jack stands and half a 9" on waiting for the right center section, SCREW SUMMIT!!! haha.

Cliff Notes: I own two damn vehicles and neither one can be driven right now......

END RANT!!!!

...And I'm the one that hears crap about my car always being broken. Oh well.

Wrenching on my car starts in 18 hours. :)

The FORD own_victoria runs pretty well. Must be an import/chevy/dsm thing.

You don't need the rear end to do the work in the front of the car or interior.

the car is at my friends house an hour down south and since truck is broke i have no way to get to it..... otherwise i'd be wrenching on it now haha. I have to wait for center section to come in so i can get a ride down there and drive it back home to work on it haha. So yes excuses sadly!

Guesss I might as well turn this into my own little build thread. FINNNNNNNALLLLLLYYYY after plenty of headaches I got the rear end in the car and back on wheels. This thing is a beast. There is no gear whine and it doesn't make near as much noise as my friends Moser 9". It still does make some but not a whole lot, i'm sure the exhaust hides it quite well from me haha. Anyway it stood up to some 2nd gear burnouts today and the 4.11's are quite nice, if i kept these 26's then it definitly let me get mid 120's in 4th gear which would be a nice trap haha. Only thing I need to get used to is this Spool. I have heard it's a lot better with M/T ET Street radials but it chirps and sputters my street tires, i just needa get used to it.

So anyway since this build wouldn't be nice without drama i go to put the Linelock on and delete my ABS since it doesn't work with spool anyway. Take it out of the box and start putting it together and realize SJM sent me a linelock with the wrong threadings..... thank god i didn't cut my brake lines first haha. Stupidly i had them send it to my house here so will have to wait awhile. Also my Kirkey seat got delayed shipping so i'm not sure if that is gonna make it in or not before i leave..... Just my effing luck.

Praying for a good day tomorrow, i am selling most of my interior to a local guy in the morning. Then in the afternoon i'm going to be pulling the E.G.R. system out, pulled the A.I.R. out today. After that is out going to be putting my Fast 92/92 on the car. Also going to scrap the front sway bar while i'm pulling things out and if i have time the A/C and heat. If i can't finish that tomorrow i'm going to do it saturday and hopefully weld in my new exhaust on saturday as i believe my friend has a tig i can borrow. I believe that's all that's going on with the car, not gonna be done but since truck is broke it will make a trip up to PA haha.

I feel for you. I damaged one of my valve stem seals today. I can't find any locally. I got the last 4g63 head gasket from Advance Auto within a 20 mile radius.

I also deleted my EGR along with the rest of the emissions stuff. I still have a cat though. Cruise control is also gone.

Alrighty well i got the majority of the interior out today and sold it. Didn't have time or money to do the lightweight carpet etc so i'll roll around in my metal box for a little while. Damn my car is loud with no sound deadener haha. I went to delete the EGR and bolts holding it to headers were rusted on there good. Ended up splitting the bolt in half and it's stuck there..... Now i have like a hose that's cut and crimped as best i could until i can find a lift and pull the header off and go at it with a drill. GOD THIS WEEEEEK HAS SUCKED FOR ME!!!!

Went to put the intake and TB on and forgot i was supposed to order valley cover bolts that don't stick up as much...... oh well the solution to that was a grinder and have at it haha. I grinded them down low enough and after a few more problems and rigging things up really weird i got it all on. The throttle response is soooo nice and the pedal is finally heavy haha. I like it, can't wait for a tune so that i can finally go WOT with it.

I am going to try and figure out the exhaust tomorrow and finish the EGR and leave my damn car alone, i can't have any problems before i bring it back to school haha. I did find it weird after everything today it struggled going into gears for like 5 mins..... I have no clue why but it did fine on the way home just had some signs of needing a tune.

You still running a 6-speed? What do you mean by struggling to get it into gear? Perhaps your adjustable master cylinder backed off a little and the clutch isn't full disengaging.

yup i still have the 6 speeed. Welll when i backed it out of the driveway i couldn't get in first gear had to let the car roll forward a little and then it went in with a struggle. Let it sit and warm up and kept trying it and it kept struggling to go in all gears like real knotchy. Then after 5 min's i said screw it and drove to end of street and after that it was fine..... I guess i'm going to see how it runs today. I thought of the MC also but we didn't touch any of that yesterday so it shouldn't have been affected at alll.... I really dont even wanna start bothering with that PITA either, guess i'll see today how it feels and if it's still knotchy play around with that. UGH!!

^^^ dont know what style TICK you have but the first gen had problems. Sounds like an adjustment or bleeding it again would do the trick.
