My experience agrees with the comment that gieco pays out well. The girl who rear ended me had gieco and they treated me really well.

Well, Here's an update...

They offered me $9100 for the car, minus $2200 if I want to buy it back.

After sending in about $6000 worth of receipts they upped the value $200, which aggravated me really, but it's whats to be expected i guess.

At this point, I'm debating buying the car back or not. I'm pretty sure I can make more than $2200 if I part it out, I just don't think I wanna spend the time and effort for something I'm not sure if I'm going to make any real money off of.
Murky was nice enough to offer me space in his garage, so I have somewhere to store and work on it, but I don't know where to start parting out a car.
But I didn't land a job over the summer, so I figure why not?

Anyway that's where it stands now. I can get $9300 all said and done, and be stuck here in the middle of nowhere until I buy a car.
Or I could buy the car back and part it out...

I'll help part it out for shits and giggles. I sure you could get a few guys to come help and and have that in pieces in no time.

9300 doesn't seem too bad. Some cheap Fbodys out there on LS1tech.

If you need a hand to get out to look at something let me know.

Welll it all depends on how much you think you can salvage. If the wheels are all good, motor, trans, engine harness, etc. There are soo many things you could sell. If you have time to part it out you'd prolly make more then just letting them keep it but it wouldn't be anywhere near what you want.

Why not just take the $9,300 and buy an already modded car from ls1tech or something? The way f body prices have fallen you can probably get something pretty decent for that price.

Thanks for the offer man, that's really nice.

I think I just decided to try to take whatever aftermarket parts I can replace with stock parts quickly and just give it to them. I'd love to get the LS6 manifold off, but that would talk a while. I'm thinking headlights, speakers, clear corners, etc. So tomorrow I guess I'll try to rent a car and get up to Bellefonte to work on it.

I was wondering if anybody up here who has tools I could borrow for the day. Mainly a jack and lug wrench and hopefully a powerdrill with screw driver attachments. I never brought a good set of tools up here because I never thought I would be working on the car up here. I also took the jack, lug wrench and spare tire out of the car for weight savings... thank god I never got a flat tire.

When are you going to work on it and where are you at now? I'm free tomorrow all day, but I doubt you are. I have most of the tools you'd probably need. I have a jack, lug wrench, breaker bar, and more.

Send me a PM on when you plan on working on it and I'll see how I can help you out.

If you decide to take the LS6 intake, I still have my LS1 intake laying in my garage if you need one. I could use a few bucks haha.
